From high point to high point
The infrastructure occupational area has exceeded its previous peak for the third year in a row. This is driven primarily by the high demand for workers in warehouse logistics, although this work area did make up a smaller share of the occupational field.
After hitting their low point in 2019, transportation professions have continued to rally. In our sample, there were more job advertisements than in 2022 in particular for professional drivers in the freight transport area, courier, express and package service drivers, and, to a lesser extent, professional drivers in passenger transport. Professional drivers are now at fourteenth place in the overall rankings, higher than ever before (2022: 27). Job advertisements in passenger transport likewise reached their highest level since the analysis began.
The increase in plant security personnel as well as custodians and porters is likely because more employees have returned to company premises.
The number of job advertisements for mechanics not naming a particular specialization dropped by more than half, and vehicle mechatronics technicians are currently in 34th place (2022: 23).
